BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Boca Raton police department is mourning the death of a veteran officer.
Officer Lauren Kresse, 44, died Thursday afternoon after a fight against cancer. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death, according to a statement issued by the Boca Raton Police Department.
“Lauren was a 20-year veteran of the Boca Raton Police Department. She was a beloved instructor in the Boca Raton Police Training Unit, making sure all our officers had the training and equipment necessary to do their job safely. Lauren was also a long-serving member of the Boca Raton Police Honor Guard,” wrote the Department in a statement.
“Lauren’s bright and bold personality positively influenced everyone she interacted with. She was fiercely loyal to the people and things she loved, and her unwavering passion for law enforcement was evident throughout her career.”
