BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An overturned car carrier — without cars — is slowing traffic heading south/west on Alligator Alley in Broward County. Traffic as of 7 a.m. is down to one lane.
(UPDATE: It appears the car carrier jackknifed and did not overturn, despite an early emergency dispatch).
The crash was first reported around 6:30. Multiple vehicles are involved. It’s unclear if anyone was injured. The location is west of the rest area in Broward County.
While I-75 is not completely shut, expect delays to increase as weekend drivers head towards Fort Myers, Marco Island, and other points to our west.

A two-truck for heavy-duty vehicles was just called to the scene. Drivers looking for alternate routes to avoid Alligator Alley can consider U.S. 27 which runs south of Lake Okeechobee.
