BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A blue SUV slammed into a West Boca Raton weight loss clinic Saturday night. No one was in the clinic at the time of the incident. It was not immediately clear what happened to the driver.
While we’re awaiting official information from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, a principal with the CR8 Health clinic tells BocaNewsNow.com that everyone is working hard to have the clinic back open on Monday. The glass, as you see in the photo, was shattered. While they hope new glass can be installed, more likely than not patients will see a boarded-up storefront on Monday.
There was no immediate information about the driver of the SUV. We don’t know Sunday afternoon if it was a male or female, whether that person experienced a medical problem that led to the crash, or if it was a somewhat typical situation in South Florida where someone hit the gas while in “drive” instead of tapping the brakes in reverse
