DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A hazmat situation is unfolding around 9:40 Wednesday morning near Park Tavern on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. The official address is 32 Southeast 2nd Avenue.

BocaNewsNow.com has learned through very preliminary information that fire rescue is responding to the scene of what may be a chemical-induced suicide situation at that address. While we do not traditionally report suicide, the need for a Haz-Mat team to respond to the scene makes it newsworthy. Streets will likely be shut down and there may be evacuations.

We have reached out to Delray Beach fire and police officials for official information. Check back for updates throughout the morning.
