Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are releasing surveillance video of an attempted murder that left a man clinging to life after being shot. Investigators are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the subjects and vehicle involved.

According to investigators, the shooting took place at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, near the 700 block of Northwest 16th Place in Pompano Beach. BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded. On scene, emergency crews located a male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported by paramedics to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Through investigative methods, detectives located surveillance video of the incident. The video shows a male subject wearing a baseball cap, light-colored shirt and unknown color shorts exiting the passenger side of a light-colored 2013 to 2016 Lexus. The subject, armed with a gun, can be seen firing multiple rounds before reentering the vehicle. The driver of the car then flees the area with the shooter.
