BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton restaurant Copperfish owes nearly $100,000 in back rent, and is now facing eviction.
A lawsuit just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, and obtained by BocaNewsNow.com, pits “SCC Shops At Boca Center,” the management company for Boca Center, against “Copper Fish Boca, LLC and George Anagnostou.” The suit claims that Copperfish and Anagnostou owe SCC $96,900.366 “in past rent and other charges constituting ‘additional rent’ per the lease.
“On February 13, 2024, SCC mailed, via Federal Express Overnight, a notice of default to Tenant with a copy to Guarantors, demanding that Tenant pay the rent arrearage in full or return possession of the Property to SCC. The default was not cured.”
Copperfish remains operational, according to its website, and continues to offer reservations at CopperFishKitchen.com. There was no immediate response filed by attorneys representing Copperfish Kitchen in Boca Raton.
Copperfish Boca is located at 5250 Town Center Circle, #143, Boca Raton.
