DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — One of the several Seven Bridges Delray Beach homeowners who ended up in Federal Prison on unrelated charges is set to be released in September.

Chiropractor Richard Davidson was indicted in August of 2020 for engaging in massive healthcare fraud through his Delray Beach practice. Unlike many accused criminals, Davidson almost immediately entered a guilty plea and worked with prosecutors to unravel the crime. In exchange, it appears he will be released from prison well before his six year sentence is served.

Federal records show that Davidson — incarcerated in July of 2021 to 74 months in federal prison, will actually be released in September. That would be a sentence of roughly 36 months. A judge granted a downward departure back in 2022, but the September release represents a significant reduction from the downward departure granted by the judge.

Davidson won’t be free and clear, however, when he is released. He’s expected to be on probation for three years, and must provide the federal government with more than $10M in restitution.

The Department of Justice confiscated Davidson’s home in Seven Bridges as part his plea deal, then sold it for $2.6M in May of 2022. Our previous reporting shows that DOJ also took control of Davidson’s bank accounts, retirement accounts, and college savings accounts for his children.

Davidson joined Seven Bridges homeowners Aaron Singerman, Tracy Jedlicki, and Jeremie Santvill as residents of what is commonly referred to as “Cellblock 7B” — the cells occupied by homeowners who moved to Seven Bridges, then committed federal crimes. Singerman was released from his incarceration last year. Jedlicki will be released in November of 2024. Saintvil will be released in 2034.
