DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Police in Delray Beach, with help from a Broward Sheriff’s Office helicopter, followed two teens after they allegedly stole a car from a home in the city Saturday night. The teens had no idea they were being followed.

“At 12:30 a.m. Sunday. a homeowner in the 200-block of Gleason Street heard voices outside her window. When she looked outside, someone was driving away in her 2023 Jeep Wrangler. She called 911. The vehicle was spotted at Linton and I-95 by officers in an unmarked vehicle.

Delray Beach Police followed the Jeep on I-95 south. The suspects had no idea they were being followed. The Broward Sheriff’s Office and their Aviation Unit was alerted. Once the Jeep stopped in Fort Lauderdale, two female juveniles bailed out of the vehicle.  The Aviation unit tracked them to a backyard, where they were arrested by police officers.”

We are not identifying the teens due to their ages.
