DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The former Seven Bridges Delray Beach bartender — who has been in and out of trouble with local law enforcement — is in big trouble again. Patricio Herrera remains in the Palm Beach County Jail on two felony charges. Ironically, they stem from previous felonies for which he neglected to appear in court.

This is the narrative of the Delray Beach Police Department arrest report from his Tuesday arrest:

“The following incident occurred in the City of Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, FL. On 3/26/2024 at 1845 hours, I was assigned to the Delray Beach Police Department’s Problen Oriented Policing Unit. I was on patrol with Ofc. Meredith and Ofc. Patel when we observed a white Volvo (FL TAG QNQR01). Officers conducted a routine check of the plate and discovered it was registered to Marcus Mitchell (BM 7/23/1973). We initiated a traffic stop and made contact with Mitchell in the driver seat and an unknown white male in the passenger seat. There were two, newly open alcoholic beverages inside the car. One 4Loko and one Corona Extra. You were still able to see the condensation on the Corona Extra bottle.

I had both occupants of the vehicle exit and at that time, the passenger identified himself as “Patrick Herrera” with a date of birth 1/16/1978. While checking with Teletype, they discovered a Patricio Herrera with a date of birth 1/16/1977. Herrera tried insisting his name was Patrick on his drivere license and that his birthday was 1/16/1978. That subject had two active felony warrants. We checked with the Driver and Vehicle Information Database (DAVID) in which we confirmed this was the same subject we were with. It should be noted that there was no “Patrick Herrera DOB 1/16/1978” in (the database).

While attempting to place Herrera in handcuffs, he immediately tensed up and attempted to push away from officers. Ofc. Meredith, Ofc. Patel, and I had to escort Herrera to the ground onto his stomach. Herrera still kept his arms slightly tensed and officers had to force his hands to the real. While on the ground, I remained in control of his head while (other officers) placed him into handcuffs without further incident.

The warrants in PALMS were issued on 03/19/2024. They were for two felony Failure to appears. The first one was for Grand Theft of Motor and the second one was for Burglary of a Conveyance, Petit Theft, and Resisting without violence.

Based on the aforementioned facts, probable cause exists to charge the defendant with Providing False Name to Law Enforcement, pursuant to F.S.S. 901.36(1) and Resisting without Violence, pursuant to F.S.s. 843.02 in addition to his outstanding warrants.”

Herrera remains in the Palm Beach County Jail late Thursday afternoon. Bond is set at $1000 on the “False ID” and “resisting” charges, but bond is not set for the “failure to appear” charges. Here’s our previous Patricio Herrera coverage.
