BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The City of Boca Raton just announced who is doing what when it comes to newly sworn-in City Council. We thank the City for providing us with the following update:
The Boca Raton City Council recognized newly re-elected Council Member Yvette Drucker to Seat C, and newly elected Andy Thomson, who returns to the Council in Seat D, at the Organizational Meeting held on Monday, April 1, 2024. Positions and representatives for local agencies were also determined.
During the Organizational Meeting, the Council voted on the following positions:
· Deputy Mayor – Yvette Drucker
· CRA Chair – Fran Nachlas
· CRA Vice Chair – Andy Thomson
Additionally, roles with other local agencies were determined:
Auditor Selection Committee Chair – Marc Wigder
Affordable Housing Advisory Committee Representative – Marc Wigder
Transportation Planning Agency Representatives – Yvette Drucker and Fran Nachlas, with Scott Singer, Marc Wigder and Andy Thomson as alternates
PBC League of Cities Voting Delegate – Yvette Drucker, with Andy Thomson as alternate
Interlocal Plan Amendment Review Committee Representative – Andy Thomson with Marc Wigder as alternate
