Get ready for the City of Boca Raton’s first “State Of The City Celebration.”

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — We don’t know that we’ve ever heard of a “State of the City Celebration,” but Boca Raton like to do things differently. To that end, the City of Boca Raton is set to hold a major party on Wednesday evening at Mizner Park.

“Head over to the Mizner Park Amphitheater for this NEW community celebration, and enjoy:

FREE Live Music – From Top 40 to classics & everything in between, REMIX entertains the whole family with a diverse playlist and powerful vocals.
City Department Booths – Engage with City departments, get to know staff, and learn about City services throughout the evening.

State of the City Address from Mayor Scott Singer – Plus, meet your City Council Members.
Yard Games – Fun for the whole family.
Food & Drinks – Available for purchase.
Giveaways!

The State of the City & Community Celebration is FREE and open to the public.

Date and Time: Wednesday, April 10, from 6:00 – 8:30pm. Location: Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real. Food Vendors: A variety of food trucks will be onsite with food and drinks available for purchase. The City will provide a water bottle station with cold, filtered water (Mobile Aqua Refreshing Station, MARS) at the event for those who bring their own water bottles.

Restrooms: Located at the Mizner Park Amphitheater. Weather: The event continues rain or shine. Have a question or need assistance? Ask a City staff member. They will be in red “EVENT STAFF” shirts and can help you throughout the event.”

GETTING TO THE STATE OF THE CITY & WHERE TO PARK

Free and Available Parking: Mizner Park, 327 Plaza Real City Hall, 201 W. Palmetto Park Road Building Administration, 200 NW 2nd Avenue City Parking Lot, 300 NW 2nd Avenue Downtown Public Library, 400 NW 2nd Avenue

Metered Parking: Metered parking is also available along Plaza Real in Mizner Park and on select streets throughout Downtown Boca.

Bicyclists: Bike racks are available in front of City Hall. Be sure to wear reflective clothing and add reflective material to your bike for safety.

See Tracks? Think Train!: For those walking to and from the event, and for drivers – look and listen before crossing any train tracks and never stop on the tracks.

Charge It: Electric car charging stations are available at City Hall and the Downtown Library.

Traffic Alert: Palmetto Park Road El Rio Canal Bridge: Current construction on the bridge has reduced passage to one lane each way, please allow extra time if using this route.
