BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Three people and a dog all sustained gunshot wounds in a home apparently packed with kids. The Boynton Beach Police Department issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com:
“The Boynton Beach Police Department responded to a shooting incident on April 9th at 12:45 P. M. in the 500 block of NW 12th Ave. Two victims were identified: one adult male inside the residence with gunshot wounds to the arm and chest, and another victim outside the residence with a gunshot wound to the arm. Both were transported to a nearby hospital. Shortly after, a third victim arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to the forearm.
Thankfully, all victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to fully recover. During the shooting, there were five children and a mother inside the residence, all in close proximity to one of the victims. The Boynton Beach Police Department expresses gratitude that this incident did not result in a more tragic outcome. While on scene, detectives were informed that a dog at a nearby residence was also shot.
The dog was promptly transported to a local animal hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Surveillance footage reviewed by detectives revealed multiple rounds being fired from a field located north of the residence where the incident occurred.
