Welcome To Boca Rudeton For Saturday. We See Dogs, And Some Gross People Who Own Them.

BY: STAFF REPORT | BocaNewsNow.com
UPDATE: 4 p.m. We had a late nomination that is worthy of mention Saturday afternoon. Scroll down for more.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A dog eating off the floor of one restaurant and a dog pooping in another. These are the two top nominations we’ve received this week for our coveted Boca Rudeton award. It’s a tough choice this week. Let’s break down the nominees.

We start with the image above. It’s a dog eating what we’re told is human food in the floor of 2nd Street Bagels and Deli in Boca Raton. We don’t know why the dog was allowed in the restaurant. That’s a violation of Florida and Federal Law. But we also don’t know why the dog would have been permitted to eat food — slurping whatever it’s slurping in a place where humans are eating. We note the dog’s human companion apparently couldn’t care less. She’s busy on her phone.

Our second nominee of note is this dog which we’re told left a special gift behind in the “Ideal Nutrition” restaurant and store in East Boca Raton — at 329 East Palmetto Park Road. The image seems to support the claim. We don’t know what nutritional value this dog’s excrement could have for other shoppers and diners in “Ideal Nutrition,” and we don’t know if the restaurant routinely sells poop. We don’t see it on Ideal Nutrition’s online menu. There’s so much to extrapolate from the photo. We’ll leave it to our readers to draw their own conclusions about Ideal Nutrition, the woman, and her dog.

And a late nomination that couldn’t wait: the woman, above, with her dog in Publix at 5th Avenue Shops on Federal Highway in Boca Raton. We remind you that there are now huge signs — all because of BocaNewsNow.com — prohibiting pets in Publix statewide. Why does this woman have her dog in Publix? We don’t know. Maybe she has a reading problem.
So who is our winner? Today, it’s going to be our first tie! Yes, two winners. What do they get? Well, our readers know we don’t actually give out prizes, but if we did: it would be a dumb phone for the woman at 2nd Street Deli — and actually, a dumb phone for everyone who works there. The woman clearly needs a phone that doesn’t distract her from her dog which is so important to feed in a restaurant, that she pays no attention to it. And for the workers: they get dumb phones because only dumb people running a restaurant would allow someone to let their dog eat inside — in violation of Florida and Federal laws.
As for the woman at Ideal Nutrition, we’d give her a Louis Poopton bag. It speaks for itself.
We remind our readers that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place. Don’t want to be seen here? Don’t be rude here! Send your submissions to us using the menu buttons above. Who cares? You reporters all have too much time on your hands . Why don’t you report news instead of fake liberal news
You will care if you step in that dogs poop. The woman could have at least picked up the poop that is on the floor. You aren’t expecting it to be there, so it’s likely that someone will step in it.
I agree! This is such a waste of my time and I am so tired of having to read about it several times a week. There HAS to be MORE IMPORTANT news- just saying….
Suggestion – don’t read it. Problem solved.
Another maga moron
Fake liberal news? There’s a piece of dog crap next to the dog. You’ve been living in your FOX bubble too long as facts seem to get in the way of your narrative.
You’re kidding right? Seriously, bringing politics into this subject just shows how out of touch you folks on the right seem to be. And the thing which I find pathetic is that you won’t even use your real name! If you posted something, why not man up and put your name and own your ridiculous comment?
Hate to tell ya dude, just because you don’t like the subject or picture of people not obeying the law, doesn’t make it fake! Fake is hiding behind a made up name…something a child would do! Think it’s time you get a life dude!
Fine the restaurants for allowing those dogs in and then you’ll see no dogs in restaurants!
Good idea, John. Why don’t they (whoever they is) do that?
Personally, before a dog is issued a service dog license, the human owning the dog should have to be diagnosed first. I find it hard to believe that there are so many service dog licenses issued. I don’t mind small dogs, but when I see one eating in a restaurant with a mess on the floor, it’s sickening to me. Even worse, I do said shed.
Until the Florida (or county?) Department of Health starts issuing significant fines to the stores and restaurants, nothing will be done about these entitled and oblivious people. Can you provide us with a link to file a complaint as if enough are filed, something may be done?
I agree with John. Start going softer the business and it will stop. Fine publix a few times with increasing fines everytime. It will be an instant stop.
Keep up the good work!
Strong fines are in order…if it’s against the law action is required or it’s meaningless.
However the question is who’s going to enforce it?
It’s simple. I only shop at stores that actually TRY to ban all non-ADA dogs.
Like Aldi, Fresh Market, Costco, Winn-Dixie and Walmart.
Definitely boycott Publix and Joseph’s Markets 👍🏼
Besides, their prices are outrageous as their lax dog policies… 😉
Dave, I’ve seen fake service dogs in all of those stores. Nobody says anything about it. The dogs are sometimes in carts where we put our food!
Hopefully, this will calm down once the snowbirds fly away this year.
I saw a dog on a leash in Boca Costco have diarrhea on the floor and the woman just kept walking… I’ve seen big dogs fight in Delray Trader Joe’s and a Pitt Bull in the basket… I’ve complained and they said they don’t want a confrontation 🤔 The Publix on Atlantic Av in Delray is the only one that kicks dogs and their owners out, that’s why I shop there…. it’s got to stop!!!! Yes fine them…
I also agree with John and Murray!! Fine these restaurants and absolutely Publix!!!
They all turn their heads and won’t do anything. Obviously the big signs aren’t big enough.
What a disgusting pig for letting her dog poop in a store!!! If anyone can identify her please publicly shame her. I can’t imagine how disgusting her home must be. It’s bad enough that too many dog owners don’t clean up after their pets (or they “didn’t notice”). We shouldn’t have to watch out for poop inside a store! All of these people are horrible. Thank you so much for publishing these pictures, I look forward to this every week! They deserve to be shamed!!
I agree 100% that these stores should be fined.
Poop on the floor if a food store??Just vile!!!!
Good morning to all! As a dog owner… I agree with this post. My dogs stay home , exercise, go to the dog park, Bark Beach… No need to bring them to the supermarket… Or a restaurant. It is even shocking to my family, as responsible dog owners to see dogs at restaurants.
That said, always have a giggle reading your reports! #promisewon’tbecaughthere 😁🐕🐾💖
I’m so disappointed in Ideal Nutrition. I love that store. Not only are people bringing dogs in, but they also constantly park in the fire zone out front. Is it really a problem to go to the marked spots just a few yards away? I am always hoping they’ll get ticketed
Fentanyl and guns flow through town like air; you think dog violations matter?
Florida got what it voted for; smaller enforcement.
Then why did the Governor sign a series of bills into law last week over fentanyl, as a result of the President’s lax rules at the border that all States are suffering from?
You must be that special kind of stupid……. how do you make it through the day???? Please find some fentanyl
Honestly… dogs are much better than majority of humans. At least they don’t bitch and complain about their food service or abuse poor hard working employees!!!
Dogs are illegal. It’s just not that difficult to understand.
You notice how all the dogs seem to be the same general small breeds. These are not dogs, they are accessories like jewelry or shoes. These owners own dogs for different reasons than real dog owners. Yes, fines are the only way to control this nonsense.
