BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Good Greek Moving and Storage is facing a lawsuit in Palm Beach County Civil Court, filed by a woman who claims the moving company engaged in fraud. We are publishing the lawsuit, in its entirety, at the end of this report.

According to the suit, Susan Andreasen — who describes herself as elderly and disabled — retained Good Greek Moving and Storage for a move in September of 2023. The suit alleges that Good Greek loaded the furniture onto its truck, then raised the price once the furniture was loaded. The company demanded additional payment or the move would not be completed. Ms. Andreasen canceled the move instead of giving into the alleged pricing scheme.

  1. Good for her for fighting this. Same thing happened to me many years ago on a move two miles, away in Boca Del Mar (different moving company) and they refused to unload unless I paid another $1,000. I was in tears but paid it because I felt trapped.

    1. My girlfriend used them recently. They wrapped all objects and were excellent when arriving in NC from Boca. Not one item was broken. Staff were excellent and professional. They stated it was the best moving service experience.

  2. Same happened to me! I had no choice to pay more as time was of the essence. They definitely took advantage. Quoted me one price and I had to pay upwards of 1500 ridiculous. I’m glad someone is finally doing something about it in which I wish I did.

  3. The owner of GGM&S seems to spend a ton of money on TV commercials touting they are the official movers of Miami Dolphins. I never had a good opinion of this company after I saw 2 of their trucks being driven extremely aggressively side by side apparently on their way to some customers residence on Jogg Road in Boynton Beach. I thought, this is the kind of drivers this company hires? Bad look. Especially when owner is the face of the company on tv commercials smiling and flashing his teeth.

  4. They stored my furniture and when it was delivered there was missing pieces. My sectional had a section gone. My very expensive mattress had been folded. Charges to delivery was more than expected. They offered such a small amount in compensation it was insulting. No management contact. They are not reputable. Never use them.

  5. I used Good Greek about 4 years ago. They were excellent. They went above and beyond what any other moving company would have done for me. Best movers I ever used. I even referred them out to a few friends and they were very happy they used Good Greek to move them.
