“On April 23, a Lauderhill woman was riding the county transit bus on Coconut Creek Parkway when a man snatched her phone out of her hands and took off, out of the bus. He stole it right when the bus got to its regular stop in front of Wynmoor. The woman watched him head into Wynmoor but couldn’t keep up with his pace, so she lost sight of him. She flagged down the security guard who found the suspect in the 1100 block of Wynmoor Way. He was not a Wynmoor resident.
The guard held him there until officers arrived. Officers identified him as Gregory Jacques, age 39, of Lauderdale Lakes. He was charged with robbery and taken to the Broward County Jail. The victim was not hurt. Nice work by that attentive Wynmoor security guard in assisting in this arrest.”
Wynmoor is located near Lyons Road and Copans Road in Coconut Creek.
