BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Boca Raton Police Department late Tuesday told BocaNewsNow.com that the people seen throwing trash from a boat in Boca Inlet during Boca Bash have not been interviewed by officers with the department. Despite sources tipping BocaNewsNow.com, and several other media outlets, to the sighting, Boca PD maintains that it’s not true. A spokesperson tells BocaNewsNow.com that the investigation is being handled by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Officers.

As we first reported Tuesday, several people — believed to be teens — were seen what appears to be throwing trash cans full of beer bottles from a boat with the name “Halcyon” into the inlet during Boca Bash. The incident was videotaped by other boaters in the area. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer, already in the area making multiple “boating under the influence” arrests, were apparently unable to respond immediately. However, we have learned they have been able to identify the owner of the vessel. It is not believed the owner was on boat at the time of the incident.

While BocaNewsNow.com has received multiple tips identifying the teens on the boat, we are not publishing those names unless they are charged. At this time, no charges have been filed.
