WELLINGTON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Two people are dead and one man is in custody following a double homicide in Wellington late Saturday afternoon. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com:

“On May 4, 2024, at 5:25 pm, deputies responded to a shooting in the 10500 block of Galleria Street, in the Village of Wellington. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male and female deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Deputies learned that an altercation occurred between the suspect, Norman Scott and the victims; male and female, resulting in Scott shooting both victims.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division arrived on scene to assume the investigation.  This double shooting is being investigated as a double homicide.  Scott was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.”

Scott is charged with two counts of premeditated first degree homicide.
