BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Pompano Beach woman was allegedly so inebriated when she was stopped by Boca Raton Police that officers ended up charging her with “enhanced” DUI. Ihaly Morales of the 2900 block of NE 8th Avenue in Pompano was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail early Sunday morning. She was released Sunday evening.

While the arrest report continues to be processed early Monday, BocaNewsNow.com has learned that Ms. Morales provided breath samples that police say registered .228 and then .224. The legal limit in Florida is .08. The high breath alcohol results led to the “enhanced” charge.

Morales was Arrested in the area of 333 Esplanade in Boca Raton. It was not immediately clear what led police to Morales, or what transpired during the traffic stop.

Ihaly Morales, according to police, was driving a White 2017 Toyota Utility Vehicle at the time of her interaction officers. She surrendered her license at the scene and is not eligible for a permit as the case moves its way through the court system.
