DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A resident of the Delray Beach senior living community of Kings Point is now the 8th and 9th resident to be arrested this year and the 28th and 29th since 2023. In addition to being one of the few Kings Point residents to be arrested twice in just days, he’s also one of the youngest. Tyler O’Clair is just 26 years years old.

O’Clair was first arrested on May 5th by Florida Highway Patrol and charged with driving under the influence. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released on $1,000 bond. He allegedly damaged property while driving under the influence.

Then, on May 7th, O’Clair was arrested again. This time the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says O’Clair battered a person aged 65 or older. Bond had not been set for that arrest as of early Wednesday morning. He remains held in the Palm Beach County Jail.

Tyler O’Clair joins a very long list of Kings Point Delray Beach residents who have been jailed since early 2023. BocaNewsNow.com’s unofficial records suggest more residents of Kings Point have been arrested than residents of any other senior living community in South Palm Beach County. Among the other arrests:  residents accused of drug dealing, drunk driving, sex offenses, battery, a man who allegedly shot at someone for walking their dog on a golf course, a woman who resisted arrest, and more. 1. I think that King’s Point was probably the home to many WWII Vets when the place was initially built in the early 80s with streets such as Normandy. I would say all of that generation are dead. I think about that generation a lot, especially as we get closer to the 80th Anniversary of the Normandy landings. I would venture to say that King’s Point, similar to On Top of the World in Clearwater, is a small city unto itself. Do you think about 10,000 people living there? Many ne’er-do-wells have taken the vets homes, or they may even be the children or grandchildren of those vets and their wives. Who knows? I try to think of those Veterans and the sacrifices they made for me, and not the few bad apples that fall to the ground every now again at King’s Point, where many of our nation’s greatest men and woman once called home. 😓

    1. I’m pretty sure the streets are named after Western European medieval kingdoms, hence also “Kings” Point. It’s a coincidence that that many of the first residents most likely fought in the Battle of Normandy of World War II. If I were one of our nation’s greatest men alive today, I would be more concerned with millions of illegal alien invaders living the nation I fought to protect for generations to come, than some people under fifty-five years of age living in Kings Point.

  2. Thank you for your crime coverage at Kings Point. Living here I know of many people under the age of 55 and no one seems to care anymore. We have had a young couple living at Kings Point for over a year now and they had a baby during this time. We also have a “con man” who is only 42 preying on elderly women. KP is trying to evict him but “it takes time and is not easy.” Keep reporting on KP.
