Indictment From Palm Beach County Grand Jury Reveals Details.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — West Boca Raton resident Jeffrey Brown of 10649 Sleepy Brooke Way is being held without bond in the Palm Beach County Jail following his indictment on murder and related charges.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office took Brown into custody on Monday. Documents confirming his arrest were released Thursday evening and obtained by BocaNewsNow.com. The following is part of the indictment certified by a grand jury:

”The Grand Jurors of the State of Florida, inquiring in and for the body of said County of Palm Beach, upon their oaths do present and charge that:

The Grand Jurors of the State of Florida, inquiring in and for the body of said County of Palm Beach, upon their oaths do present and charge that: LAVON HEATH and JEFFERY BROWN on or about March 4, 2014, in the County of Palm Beach and State of Florida, did unlawfully from a premeditated design to effect the death of a human being, kill and murder MURAT OZIROS, a human being, by shooting him, and during the commission or attempt to commit any offense listed in Florida Statute 775.087(2)(a)1, LAVON HEATH and JEFFERY BROWN actually possessed a deadly weapon, a firearm or destructive device as those terms are defined in section 790.001, Florida Statutes, and further during the course of committing or attempting to commit any offense listed in Florida Statute 775.087(2)(a)1, LAVON HEATH and JEFFERY BROWN discharged a firearm or destructive device as defined in section 790.001, Florida Statutes, and, as the result of the discharge, death or great bodily harm was inflicted upon MURAT OZIROS, contrary to Florida Statutes 775.087(1), 775.087(2)(a)1, 775.087(2)(a)2, 775.087(2)(a)3, 782.04(1)(a)1 and 782.04(1)(a)2.

COUNT 2: FIRST DEGREE MURDER WITH A FIREARM The Grand Jurors of the State of Florida, inquiring in and for the body of said County of Palm Beach, upon their oaths do present and charge that: LAVON HEATH and JEFFERY BROWN on or about March 4, 2014, in the County of Palm ~ Beach and State of Florida, did unlawfully from a premeditated design to effect the death of a human being, kill and murder DEONDRE MCCOY, a human being, by shooting him, and during: the commission or attempt to commit any offense listed in Florida Statute 775.087(2)(a) 1, 2 LAVON HEATH and JEFFERY BROWN actually possessed a deadly weapon, a firearm of destructive device as those terms are defined in section 790.001, Florida Statutes, and further during the course of committing or attempting to commit any offense listed in Florida Statute 775.087(2)(a)1, LAVON HEATH and JEFFERY BROWN discharged a firearm or destructive device as defined in section 790.001, Florida Statutes, and, as the result of the discharge, death or great bodily harm was inflicted upon DEONDRE MCCOY, contrary to Florida Statutes.”

No bond was set for homicide. $75,000 bond was set for the robbery and possession charges.
