BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Rapper Sean Kingston was arrested Thursday evening in California following a raid on his home in the Broward County community of Southwest Ranches. The Broward Sheriff’s Office arrested Kingston’s mother at their home earlier in the day. The raid on the home was first reported by South Florida’s First News with Andrew Colton on NewsRadio 610 WIOD. (Listen 6-10 a.m.).

The Broward Sheriff’s Office issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com Thursday evening:

“This evening, police in Fort Irwin, CA, arrested Kisean Anderson, aka Sean Kingston (2/3/1990) without incident on a Broward Sheriff’s Office arrest warrant for numerous fraud and theft charges. According to investigators, he will be booked into jail in San Bernardino, CA.”

The law enforcement agency issued this statement earlier Thursday:

“Following an investigation that began in the city of Dania Beach, this morning, May 23, Broward Sheriff’s Office Dania Beach District detectives along with members of BSO’s Strategic Investigations Unit and Davie Police SWAT, served arrest and search warrants at a residence in Southwest Ranches. As a result of the investigation, an adult female, Janice Turner, 2/16/1963, was taken into custody on numerous fraud and theft charges. This investigation is active and ongoing.”
