An emergency road closure is set for Woolbright Road near I-95 in Boynton Beach.

Palm Beach County Engineering and Public Works (EPW) announces a temporary road closure of all eastbound lanes on Woolbright Road between S. Congress Avenue and S.W. 8th Street/Corporate Drive scheduled for Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to facilitate permanent road repairs.

Traffic will be detoured via S. Congress Avenue, W. Boynton Beach Boulevard (S.R. 804) and Interstate 95. Local traffic will have access between S. Congress Avenue and S.W. 18th Street. The six hour road closure has been carefully planned during non-peak hours to minimize inconvenience to commuters. Following the completion of these repairs, eastbound Woolbright Road will reopen back to one lane for eastbound traffic flow.

The emergency repairs along Woolbright Road are crucial for ensuring the safety of motorists and pedestrians. This phase of the project requires a temporary road closure to safely execute the repairs and future road closures are possible during other phases of the project. EPW appreciates the community’s patience and understanding during this temporary inconvenience. These efforts are aimed at enhancing the safety and efficiency of the County’s infrastructure.
