BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton woman allegedly pulled a Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum and fired one or two “warning shots” as she engaged in a water fight with her neighbors. Vivian LaCorra of the 300 block of NW 42nd Street in Boca Raton is now facing multiple charges and is the subject of a “risk protection” order filed by the City of Boca Raton.
According to an arrest report reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, LaCorra was spraying a hose on the side of property when she allegedly got her neighbor’s vehicle — and then her neighbors — wet. They asked her to stop but she wouldn’t and became aggressive — directly spraying the neighbors so they “became drenched.”
When one of the neighbors physically attempted to remove the hose from LaCorra in an effort to get her to stop, she pulled the .357 from “her concealed holster” and fired shots towards him. “(LaCorra said she) removed her stainless steal, Smith and Wesson. 357 Magnum with red grips from her holster that she had concealed on her left side. LaCorra then fired one round to the ground as a ‘warning shot.‘ At that point, LaCorra stated the police were contacted and she placed her firearm back into her home. There was one spent casing under the hammer and four live rounds in the firearm,” according to the affidavit of probable cause.
One of the alleged victims said LaCorra pointed the gun at him during the altercation. Wrote police: “He noted that LaCorra pointed the firearm at his person, she was hiding behind her oak tree. The (alleged victim) said at no point did he threaten to do bodily harm to her or insinuated to her physically. He stated that while she was holding the firearm, LaCorra mentioned that she was going to shoot him.”
Vivian LaCorra is now charged with battery and “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill.” She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday and later released on $51,000 bond.
Lost for words with this idiot. She should never own a firearm again.

What a great idea, let guns go wild! Everyone should have one so we can relive the Wild West, where justice is handled in the field, like this. And we don’t need background checks, right? But even with them, all it takes is one person getting pissed off, like this one, and using it in an aggressive manner. What if the neighbor also had one and, seeing her pull her gun, shot her? Would he be justified? I think so. And then, because her stupidity raged, she would be dead. I guess thinning the herd isn’t a bad idea after all.
No amount of gun control is ever going to stop criminals and nuts from having access to firearms. Look at “model” nations in Latin America, whereas gun control can be even more stricter than Western Europe or Japan, yet urban areas continually break records as the most dangerous places on Earth.
