UPDATE: At 4:25 p.m., this update was transmitted by BSO — Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit detectives have confirmed that the two individuals found deceased inside the residence are an adult female and an infant male. Additionally, at this time, the adult male located in the street suffering from a gunshot wound is listed in critical condition.

UPDATE: The Broward Sheriff’s Office provided BocaNewsNow.com with this update at 11:08 — At approximately 5:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, Broward County Regional Communications received reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of Eastridge Drive in Deerfield Beach. Broward Sheriff’s Office Deerfield Beach District deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. On scene, deputies located an adult male in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the adult male to a nearby hospital for treatment. Following an investigation, deputies located two individuals in a nearby residence suffering from gunshot wounds. Deputies pronounced them both deceased on scene. BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to investigate the circumstances of the shootings. At this time, there does not appear to be ongoing threat to the community.

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Broward Sheriff’s Office is on the scene at 9:30 a.m. of what appears to be a murder-suicide in the 4000 block of Eastridge Drive in Deerfield Beach. A baby is among the dead.

According to law enforcement sources, police were called to the block around 6 a.m. where a male was found injured from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police immediately launched an investigation and then, a short time later, found a woman and an infant dead in the same area. Sources tell BocaNewsNow.com that they were both victims of gunshot wounds to the head.

The area is completely closed off by police tape. There is a huge law enforcement presence in the area. Expect the scene to remain active for several hours. No names have been released.

Eastridge Drive is just west of I-95 and just north of West Sample Road. Check back for updates later Thursday. We expect an official report from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Thursday afternoon.
