UPDATE 3:05 p.m. — While Broward County’s Emergency Operations Center remains operational, all roads are reportedly clear of debris and flooding and all county facilities are open or reopening. All transit and paratransit services, with the exception of those on Dixie Highway, are operational.

As of early Friday morning, more than 20-inches of have has fallen over several parts of the region over the past 72 hours.

All Broward County schools and camps run by the school district are closed on Friday. The demolition of the 1200 building at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High, the scene of the massacre that left 17 teachers and students dead in 2018, was rescheduled for today after being postponed yesterday. Expect significant traffic issues in the area of the school.

All Broward County libraries and public facilities are closed Friday. Check back for updates, or call the specific office or facility to determine if a decision was made to reopen.

All Palm Beach County-run summer programs and summer schools are open Friday. All Palm Beach County government offices and facilities are also open.

Travel continues to be hampered by the rain. FlightAware.com reports that at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International, 257 delays were recorded on Thursday with 147 cancellations. At PBI, 88 delays were recorded with 22 cancellations. At Miami International Airport, 368 delays were logged with 307 cancellations. Several deals and cancellations are already on the books for all three airports early Friday. Check with your airline before heading to the airport.

BRIGHTLINE has resumed normal operations. There was no service to or from Miami and Aventura on Thursday.

The National Weather Service is calling for a rainy day with a high near 87. The rain chance is 90 percent. More rain Friday night, Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday.
