The victims of Wednesday’s plane crash in Palm Beach County have been identified.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The two men killed in Wednesday’s plane crash near North County Airport have been identified as Stephen Taylor, 59, of Hollywood, and Gojko Damjanic, 58, of Fort Lauderdale.

The men were on board what is only being described right now as a small plane that took from North County but crashed into a lake near the airport. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office pulled the men from the wreckage. They were dead at the scene.

Authorities say the crash was first reported at 2:12 p.m. on Wednesday in the 11600 block of Aviation Boulevard.

PBSO divers were assisted by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, the West Palm Beach Police Marine Unit, Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue, and the PBSO Marine Unit. The National Transportation Security Administration is investigating the incident.
