PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Four people are dead and as many as six injured following a car crash in Palm Beach County Monday evening. Multiple people were so badly injured they were airlifted to area hospitals.
According to sources connected to the rescue and recovery operation providing information to BocaNewsNow.com, both Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene of Connor’s Highway and Hatton Highway in Canal Point around 7:30 p.m. Canal Point is in a rural part of Palm Beach County, just east of Lake Okeechobee
Once on the scene, first responders found a vehicle submerged in a canal. Four people were confirmed dead on the scene. The injured were extricated from the vehicle and triaged at the scene. Two people were airlifted by Trauma Hawk for emergency care. Four others were transported by ambulance. A Deputy was also injured, but it was unclear if that was during the rescue operation or possibly part of an incident that preceded the crash.
