It’s Boca Rudeton For Monday With Rudeness In Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach…

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — So we have to ask: if dogs are doing things they shouldn’t be doing, do their owners have a responsibility to stop the bad behavior? The answer is yes, which is why we start today’s edition of Boca Rudeton with the woman leashed to two — what we will call — yappy dogs. The woman doesn’t seem to appreciate that the the shopping center at 441 and Clint Moore — the shopping center where Publix is doing what it can to ban people with pets from bringing those pets into the store — is private property where shoppers are invited to shop. They are not invited, however, to have their dogs trounce through the greenery that they pay landscapers to maintain on a regular basis. That’s why the woman, above, is our first Boca Rudeton nominee as this week gets underway. She could have had dogs get out of the greenery, but she opted not to. Yes, it’s so cute to have your animals potentially destroy other people’s property.
We’ll stay in the same shopping center for our next nominee. There are no butts about it — unless you’re talking about a butt in red spandex. That’s the butt that’s draped by a leash that’s connected to a dog that has no business being in a UPS store. Butt while the woman scrolls through her phone, her dog blocked access to customers coming in and out of the UPS location, often carrying boxes. The woman was oblivious. We’re not sure why she had the dog in the UPS store. Certainly food isn’t sold there so technically it’s not illegal, but it sure is rude. The only dog we think that should be in a UPS store is a Boxer.
We have one more dog nominee. It comes from a reader who wants to know why this dog, above, is in a shopping cart in Sprouts in Boynton Beach. That is potentially illegal. Only trained service animals are allowed to be in places that serve food, and never in shopping carts.
Then there’s the situation on Lyons Road. We stress that it’s hot outside and we fully appreciate that workers working on pavement and road construction deserve a break. But the optics are pretty bad for the construction company that is now a part of the Lyons Road near Atlantic Avenue project that has been ongoing for years — far longer than initially scheduled — when its workers are resting while traffic is mounting. The project is a disaster and has been a disaster for several years. It was supposed to last months. It was also supposed to be complete in May. Then June. Then July. Now August. But that’s not looking good… in part because when you look at the road work, you see workers resting on the side of the road.

So who is our Boca Rudeton winner today? It’s a tie! And the tie is between the woman with the dogs in the private greenery, and the woman with the ultra-tight red butt pants paying no attention to her dog that blocked people coming in and out of the UPS store. Readers know we don’t really give prizes, but if we did, it would be a mirror. Why a mirror? Simple! So they could look at themselves and ask themselves if they are doing the right thing, or possibly displaying a level of rudeness that exemplifies Boca Rudeton!

Exactly where are workers supposed to rest when they are out all day in the heat and humidity? Under a shade tree, maybe?
Those guys are either on one of their mandated breaks or lunch…doubt whomever complained about it , would go do that job. I applaud those workers.
These people should be fined. That will put an end to dogs in food stores.
I hate it when I see a dog in a grocery cart. Why is my country becoming a third-world mentality. I expect this type of crude behavior when I visit a third-world country. Not here. We know better. Health standards for clean grocery stores have always be high. “Shirt and Shoes required” “No pets” . Then every crazy woman with child separation anxiety got the right to take their dog everywhere. What about my right for a grocery cart without dog ass and dog drool and dog hair on it? I love dogs! But I don’t want your dog’s animal droppings in my cart! If I sat naked in your grocery cart, how would you feel about putting your loaf of bread in it? Let me fart on it and drool a little. Then I’ll shed some of my hair and weave it between the bars. Now here you go! Load up the families groceries in that!
I agree with you 100%, however, most third-world countries do not treat their pets like Westerners. They won’t even allow animals in their homes. We, on the other hand, expect everyone to bend to our desires. We’ve become a culture of rudeness all the way around.
It’s not going to stop with the dogs, so why bother.
As far as the workers – it’s hot out and yes they are allowed to have lunch and take a break. My God talk about BOCA RUDETON!!
Road workers taking a break. Of course they are, they should and they need to! In this summer heat it is dangerous. If you are complaining about the length of time to complete the work that is a management function. I’m really disappointed that Boca News . Com would put such a statement along with a privacy invasive picture of them, when they are on break. Where are they suppose to go? If you worked on the road, on pavement in the heat you would want “danger pay.” If these men are like the road workers close to my home, they do a great job. Boca Rudetons are also people who are disrespectful of others, when they don’t understand the basics of hard work in difficult conditions.
