BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Good Greek Moving and Storage apparently really doesn’t like our story about a small claims lawsuit filed against the company several months ago. We reported back in April on the case of the woman who claimed her furniture was held hostage and broken by Good Greek during a move in Palm Beach County. The suit ultimately settled. Good Greek paid out $1864.21, according to public records which we are publishing below.
And that seems to be an issue for Good Greek. The company apparently tried at least twice to have Google remove our article from the search engine, claiming some sort of violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DCMA). On both occasions, Google refused, agreeing with BocaNewsNow.com that lawsuits are public information. We assumed that was that. We were wrong.
Today, BocaNewsNow.com received emails from the “General Counsel” of Good Greek. While nice in tone, the emails from Lexi Bulkeley certainly raise additional questions about why Good Greek cares so much about an $1864 payout. Here’s what she wrote: “Please remove the amount of the settlement as that is confidential information, part of the settlement agreement. Also, please note that case is not “closed” it was dismissed.” We agreed to change the article to show the case has now been dismissed, not just “closed.” We, however, refused to remove the amount of the settlement. It’s right there in the public court documents. That’s what we told her. Here’s how Bulkeley responded:
”As part of the settlement agreement, Ms. Andresen was to seek to have this taken down, so could you please remove the article all together? Also, can you please show me where the amount is part of public information?”

Note this: the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts — Joseph Abruzzo — doesn’t tend to remove public documents. Even if someone asks nicely. Our experience is that the Clerk actually works quite hard to make sure the official record of Palm Beach County remains accessible to all. And you would think the General Counsel of a local company would know that. But when we looked up Ms. Bulkeley in the Florida Bar membership directory, we found no listing. You don’t traditionally need to be a member of the Bar if you are general counsel, but maybe that’s why she couldn’t find a public document on a Florida court’s website. We also note that we don’t traditionally teach the legal community how to search for public court documents. But In this case, we’ve decided to make it easy — we published the actual document in question. The document she signed as “Alexandra Bulkeley.”

We don’t know why Good Greek cares so much about this lawsuit. We care about consumers, however, so if you have something to share about any mover in the area, feel free to use our news tip form above, or just post a comment, below.

If they hated your story, they will sure as hell not like this comment… IMHO : Stay far away from these predators.
Just read the all the complains below to get a real idea on who you are doing business with here..

I used GOOD GREEK MOVING COMPANY several years and they tried to pull the same thing with me. Very dishonest people
Hello. While I respect the value of news organizations to report incidents in society and consumer alerts, I agree with Good Greek on one isolated incident being portrayed as the norm. The public perception could be inaccurate based on one article.
I have now used Good Greek for 3 moves and to be honest, one of the moves didn’t go as planned. Not only did they make it right, but the owner personally called me to listen to the issue and express his apologies. They probably do hundreds of moves every single day throughout the state and for a news organization to tarnish the reputation of this amazing organization I agree is unfair.
I have only heard amazing things from friends and relatives that have used them and the public persona should be very positive on this organization.
Again I don’t work for them and owe them nothing except as a former business owner myself, I know how important a brand and a public image is to an organization. Especially one that has unparalleled customer service as I along with friends and family have received.
I think as part of the commitment to fair and honest journalism, your news outlet should clarify about this being a very rare occurance and how amazing of a reputation Good Greek has as a business and the great things they are doing in the community.
Reporting the news is important, but taking an isolated incident when they do hundreds of moves every day and not telling the other side of the story I just think is unfair.
I never blog or comment like this on news articles, but felt as though I should stand up for what’s right. I hope you post this response and not hide it from public view as that would be important to the integrity of your journalism.
I enjoy reading your articles on a daily basis and appreciate the informative news and the integrity you’ve shown on this great website.
Good Greek Moving is awful. Cancelled on my in-laws the morning they were scheduled to move. Lousy service
Good Grief, this again?🙄😒😮💨 🤨 😩😪😵😵💫Sad, so sad😞😔☹️🤥💵💰🙂↔️
He needs to stop stating that he was a cop. Most cops are honest but this guy?????????????????
I do not agree that Boca News is trying to disparage any one company in particular. They are only reporting facts regarding a court matter which is public information. Small claim s law suit matters come with the territory of running a business. It seems like Good Greek Movong & Storage has more than a few complaints against them. Most consumers do not take their bad experiences to the next level. Hence, a court of law. Kudos to the person who decided to fight for their rights legally.
I had a horrible experience with good Greek moving also. Carelessness Of the movers and damaging so much of my furniture And belongings.
I interviewed to be an Operations Manager at this company and it was the worst experience ever. They told me I would be working 12 hour days 7 days a week, and that was just in the lobby! Never even brought me inside to sit down for a proper interview. All of these comments come as no surprise
