BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Traffic is exceptionally heavy on I-75 before — and on — Alligator Alley for motorists trying to return to Florida’s west coast. The Florida Department of Transportation is encouraging motorists to either wait, or assume that it’s going to take you a very, very long time to get where you are going.
Traffic cameras in the area show exceptionally large backups, both on the Sawgrass Expressway and Alligator Alley. We are publishing two images, but multiple cameras over many miles are pretty much showing the same thing. We also note a number of FHP Troopers in the median, suggesting that driving erratically or trying to get around the traffic will likely land you in trouble.
