BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A crash on I-95 in the area of Camino Real is slowing traffic on I-95 Saturday evening, just before 6 p.m. If you’re thinking about using I-95 over the next hour or so in that area, don’t. There is a big backup and it’s growing.

This does not appear to be a serious accident, but the roads are wet and the skies are dark. That’s leading to a slow-go even without the crash. But the crash is making it worse. Traffic is backing up into Broward County. The scene seems to be just before Palmetto Park Road.

The express lanes are moving without problem. Keep in mind you either need an HOV/EV decal to use the express lane, or you are subject to what is often a significant toll deducted from your SunPass account or sent as a bill in the mail.

Your best bet for now: get off at Hillsboro Boulevard and head west to Powerline/Jog Road, head north to Palmetto Park Road or Glades, then rejoin I-95 and continue your northbound drive.
