BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man was critically injured Saturday night while riding a scooter in West Palm Beach. The person who struck him fled the scene. Police Monday released images of the pickup that allegedly hit him and a female passenger.

The Palm Bach County Sheriff’s office says Eric Vo was driving northbound on Military Trail and began a U-Turn at Kelmar Drive to travel southbound on Military Trail. The driver of the pickup truck, seen above on the right hand side, “failed to yield to Vo,” according to PBSO. “The front of the pickup impacted into the side of Vo and his motor scooter, which caused the scooter to overturn and eject Vo (and a passenger).”

Police say the driver of the pickup stopped but then fled the scene without providing identifying information. Witnesses say the vehicle was a small gray or silver pickup truck with passenger side damage from the crash. The driver is identified as a Hispanic male.
