BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton resident Patrick Crane is facing multiple charges following a crash in the area of Palmetto Park Road and Dixie Highway around 11:50 Saturday night. Crane allegedly left the scene in the moments after impact.

While the affidavit of probable cause continues to be processed Monday, BocaNewsNow.com reviewed the citation issued by the Boca Raton Police Department. The citation provides preliminary information. Officers allege that Crane crashed and fled the scene, but was stopped a short time later. He was charged with not only “hit and run — leave scene of crash involving damage to property,” and “DUI, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.”

Crane allegedly refused to participate in a blood or breath alcohol test. That led to his arrest and the immediate suspension of his license. Crane remains held on $6,000 bond Monday afternoon.

While we are awaiting the arrest for details of the actual crash, we do know that a judge ordered Crane to stay away from the alleged victim of the incident. He is also prohibited from using drugs or alcohol. A court date is pending.
