UPDATE: We unintentionally combined two moves into one. The City of Boca Raton Police Department is under consideration for a move near the Spanish River Library. While City Hall and related offices would likely have to move temporarily, the goal is for the current City Hall site to be rebuilt and “reimagined” into a City Center that would largely remain its current location.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Boca Raton police department could ditch downtown Boca and move to a new facility just yards from unincorporated Palm Beach County. City leaders are now soliciting plans from developers — potentially to build on “City-owned property east of the Spanish River LIbrary.”

We are publishing the entire written announceMent from the City of Boca Raton, below. A PDF of the plan, and solicitation process, follows.
