BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An apparent electrical fire required Palm Beach County Fire Rescue professionals to do what they do in West Boca Raton on Thanksgiving Day. We thank Fire Rescue for sharing this information with BocaNewsNow.com:

“At approximately  11:05 PBCFR Units were dispatched to the 21000 block of Summertrace Circle in western Boca Raton for a reported structure fire.  The 911 caller stated they had a smoke smell in the house for a while and it wasn’t going away.  Initial arriving units found an approximately 1800 square foot house with nothing showing from the street.  An interior search found light smoke in the attic.

There were no active flames, but smoldering embers were present in the attic space. A PBCFR Fire Investigator was called to on scene and has determined that the unintentional fire was electrical in nature.  There were no reported injuries.  This was not a cooking or holiday activity related incident.”

Summertrace Circle is west of U.S. 441 and between Palmetto Park Road and Glades Road.
