BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A man angry at a bank teller at the Chase bank on Glades Road ultimately told a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Deputy that he was going to slit his throat and then sh-t down it. That was enough for Craig Philipopoulos of Mansfield N in the retirement community of Century Village Boca Raton to be relocated to the Palm Beach County Jail.

BocaNewsNow.com obtained the police report outlining this heartwarming holiday story about a man, a bank, a cop, and defecation:

“On December 19, 2024 at approximately 950 hours I responded to a disturbance at Chase Bank located at 8851 Glades Rd. on Inc. Boca Raton, Florida. Upon arrival at the bank, Deputies made contact with the defendant was later identified as Craig Philipopoulos. The defendant was yelling and behaving erratically and aggressively inside of the bank cursing and saying that the manager was refusing to give him his money.

I approached the subject and asked him to come outside and talk to me so we could figure out what was going on. He then took an aggressive stance balled up his fist and walked towards me causing a well-founded fear that he was going to hit me. At this time the defendant did commit, by act and apparent ability to do so, an assault on a law enforcement officer. I then ordered the defendant to back away from me and he took another step forward.

At this time, Deputy Armentero, who was standing behind the defendant, drew his Taser and advised the subject that he was under arrest, and ordered the defendant to put his hands behind his back. The defendant was placed into handcuffs, placed under arrest and was charged with assault on a law-enforcement officer FSS 784.07(2b).

While in custody, and sitting in the prisoner compartment of my marked Sheriff’s Office vehicle, the defendant told me he was “Not under arrest”, and that “He was gotta cut off my head and sh-t down my throat”. As such, he was charged with violation of (1) count of FSS 838.021 (3A), as he threatened to harm me while in the performance of my official duties. The defendant was transported to Palm Beach County Jail.”

Craig Philipopoulos, 61, is being held Friday afternoon on $10,000 bond.
