DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman who once faced criminal charges over a failure to pay sales tax is now facing a lawsuit over an allegedly unpaid $120,000 loan. The lawsuit against Wendy Rosano of Boca Raton was just filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint obtained by BocaNewsNow.com and published below, Rosano received a large loan from Arlyne Goldstein of Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach back in 2016. As of December 20th, 2024 — the date the lawsuit was filed — the funds remain unpaid. Here are key excerpts from the complaint:
“On February 1, 2016, the parties entered an agreement (the “Agreement” in which Defendant agreed to repay the sum of $120,000.00, plus accrued interest at the rate of 4% per annum, to Plaintiff by February 1, 2020. The full balance, plus contractual interest, remains unpaid. In addition to failing to make the required payments, Defendant failed to respond to any of Plaintif’s counsel’s requests to make alternative arrangements, including executing a proposed modification of the Agreement. Because of Defendant’s breach of the Agreement, Plaintiff has been damaged. All conditions precedent to the commencement of this action, if any, have been satisfied, discharged, or waived.”
Rosano was charged back in 2013 for failure to pay state sales tax. She entered a pretrial diversion program and paid $104,981 to the Florida Department of Revenue to avoid prosecution. She met the terms of the pretrial program and prosecutors ultimately dropped the prosecution. She has not yet responded to the lawsuit just filed alleging she owes $120,000, according to the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts. Read the complete lawsuit, below.
