Can You Help Tri-County Rescue? “Snow White” Needs New Castle.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Snow White the dog is going to undergo emergency cancer surgery on Saturday thanks to Tri-County Rescue of Boca Raton. But after that, the dog — abandoned and left for dead — will need a new home. The community is being asked to help Snow White’s in her eventual recovery.
“Snow White is a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees who was found by a good Samaritan and brought to Animal Control in dire condition,” said a spokesperson for Tri-County. “Covered in fleas, very underweight, suffering from severe worm infestation, and carrying an enormous tumor, she arrived without a microchip, leaving her history unknown.”
Experts believe that Snow White has been sick for quite sometime, and perhaps her original family couldn’t figure out what to do — or afford — to provide medical care.
“This heartbreaking case highlights a serious instance of neglect,” said the spokesperson. “It is suspected that Snow White may have run away in a desperate attempt to save her own life after being deprived of proper care. Despite her ordeal, Snow White is now receiving the urgent medical attention she needs, and the Tri-County Animal Rescue medical team remain hopeful for her recovery and eventual placement in a loving home.”
The veterinarians at Tri-County Animal Rescue estimate that the massive growth, which weighs over six pounds, has been developing for at least a year. Before Snow White can safely undergo surgery to remove the tumor, she is being treated for worms and they are hoping that she gains weight. She will undergo surgery on Saturday to remove the growth.
