PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A child sex offender from Overland Park, Kansas, is in the custody of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office mid-day Saturday following his early morning arrest. Parents of young children should be aware of 35 year old Alexander Morris.
While the arrest report continues to be processed, jail records reveal that Morris is charged with “obscene communication — use computer to seduce, solicit, lure child,” and “obscene material distribution — of of state transmission of information harmful to minors.” Bond is set at $50,000.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s database did not show a record for Morris as of Saturday afternoon but records from Kansas show he was convicted of offenses involving an 8-year-old girl. It was unclear if additional offenses were committed in Florida, or if the Palm Beach County Jail is merely creating a new record with his offenses from Kansas. We note that Morris was technically arrested twice in a short period of time. He was separately charged with “sex offender registration.”
Morris’ official address is 7000 Beverly Street in Overland Park. We are not yet showing a local address in Palm Beach County. It was not immediately clear where he was taken into custody by PBSO. Check back for updates.
