DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It’s another week of major traffic issues across South Palm Beach County, as cooler, largely dryer weather makes life just a little bit easier for construction crews tasked with building and fixing roads. The highlight list is below, but we start with I-95 in the area of Lake Worth Beach. The 6th Avenue interchange — already challenging — is about to get worse. We thank FDOT and Palm Beach County for the preview. We also note that some projects list dates that have already passed. If it’s on the list, assume the project is ongoing:
I-95 AT SIXTH AVENUE IN LAKE WORTH BEACH:
Advance Notice, Full Ramp Closures: The I-95 northbound entrance ramp at 6th Avenue South may have a full closure, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday night, Jan. 21, and Wednesday night, Jan. 22, for signal and signage installation. Motorists will be detoured via 6th Avenue South to US 1, then north to 10th Avenue North to access the I-95 interchange. Please note only one I-95 ramp at the 6th Avenue South interchange is permitted to close at a time. Should unforeseen issues or delays impact these dates, the closure may occur on Tuesday night, Jan. 28.
