BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An early morning crash is affecting traffic on U.S. 441 in the area of Boynton Beach Boulevard. The southbound crash, reported around 5:20 Wednesday morning, was still affecting traffic in both directions more than an hour later. Avoid the area.
Accoridng to initial reports received by BocaNewsNow.com, one car plowed into something — although it was not immediately clear what that “something” was. At least two people were critically injured in the vehicle, one required extrication from lifesaving experts with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. That extrication took several minutes.
At least 13 firefighting and paramedic units were dispatched to the scene. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is also on the scene handling traffic and investigating the crash. Assume the scene will remain active for quite some time.
Your best bet is to move east to Lyons Road, pass Boynton Beach Boulevard, then return to U.S. 441 north or South of the scene. We’ll update with specifics of the crash later in the day.
