Broward CrimeStoppers Offering $10,000. What Do You Know?

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — An elderly woman is dead, her body left on the side of Powerline Road in Broward County after an apparent hit and run crash involving a Land Rover. There is a reward now offered by CrimesStoppers of Broward County. The Broward Sheriff’s Office issued this statement to BocaNewsNow.com:

Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal hit-and-run. Broward Crime Stoppers will pay up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the subject(s) involved.
At approximately 7:57 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, BSO deputies responded to a possible hit-and-run crash near the 3800 block of North Powerline Road in Oakland Park. The preliminary investigation revealed Barbara Price, who was crossing the street from east to west outside the designated crosswalk, was struck by a vehicle that fled the area.
Oakland Park Fire Rescue responded and pronounced Price deceased on scene. Detectives with BSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit were notified and responded to conduct the investigation.
Through investigative methods, detectives determined the vehicle involved was a light blue 2005 to 2009 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SUV. Investigators say the front passenger side of the Land Rover struck the victim, causing her to be projected southwest off the roadway.
