BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Nine students are set to be expelled from the Palm Beach County School District during the school board’s meeting set for today. Here’s what we’ve learned about the students.

All nine students are being expelled for violating the Palm Beach County School District’s policy on extreme violence which is a “zero tolerance” policy. The violations took place during the current school year. While the Palm Beach County School District previously released the school name and specifics of the incident, that information has been removed from public records.

The students to be expelled are identified by the following numbers: 24/25-X-009; 24/25-X-021; 24/25-X-023; 24/25-X-024; 24/25-X-025; 24/25-X-026; 24/25-X-027; 24/25-X-028; 24/25-X-019. While the punishment is severe, the school system is offering each a chance at redemption. If specific conduct is followed, the students will be permitted to re-enroll. Here is the official language attached to each of the expulsion orders:

“The Principal issued a referral for violation of the School Board Policy 5.1814.  The student’s code of conduct offense was investigated and mitigating factors were considered. The student and family were provided opportunities for due process.   I recommend the Board expel the student from the regular school program of the School District of Palm Beach County for one (1) calendar year from the date of the offense and that the student be allowed to enroll in a comprehensive campus (on specific date), if certain conditions specified in the attached Final Order are met.”
