
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Zingers Delicatessen and Restaurant at 7132 Beracasa Way is again on the receiving end of multiple violations logged by a health inspector reporting to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Zingers was ordered closed temporarily back in 2023 following an inspection. No closure was ordered this time, but an unannounced follow-up inspection is now pending.
Per BocaNewsNow.com policy, the following is the unedited inspection report filed with the State of Florida following the inspection of February 17, 2025:
High Priority – Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Coleslaw (51F – Cold Holding) held at middle deli case for two hours. Operator moved to walk in cooler to ensure proper cold holding. **Corrective Action Taken** **Repeat Violation** **Admin Complaint**
High Priority – Operating with an expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license. Expired on December 1, 2024. **Warning**
Intermediate – Can opener soiled with food debris/slime. **Warning**
Intermediate – No chlorine chemical test kit provided when using sanitizer at three-compartment sink/warewashing machine or wiping cloths. **Warning**
Basic – Nonfood-contact surface soiled with grease, food debris, dirt, slime or dust. Dish rack in kitchen heavily soiled with dust. Deli case door exteriors, cook line door exteriors soiled with food debris. Dish machine exterior heavily soiled with dust and food debris. **Warning**
Basic – Floor area(s) covered with standing water behind deli counter. **Warning**
Basic – Deli case interior walls and shelves have accumulation of soil residues. **Warning**
Basic – Ceiling vents and surrounding ceiling areas soiled with accumulated dust/mold-like substance. **Warning**
Basic – Buildup of food debris/soil residue on equipment door handles on deli line and kitchen cookline. **Warning**
Basic – Accumulation of black/green mold-like substance in the interior of the ice machine by back reach in coolers. **Warning**
Zingers was not ordered to close following this inspection. An unannounced follow-up inspection will be conducted by the State of Florida.

Why aren’t restaurants with multiple infractions penalized–like being shut down for a period of time.
That would give notice to the entire industry to adhere to the rules which are clearly delineated for all to see.
