Another Resident Of Senior Living Community Sent To Jail. Seventh This Year.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — For the 57th time since the start of 2023, a Kings Point resident has been jailed. This time, it’s Joanie Engers. At 32, she’s significantly younger than the typical resident of the senior living community in Delray Beach. She lists the Monaco section of Kings Point as her home address.
Engers was arrested Sunday afternoon and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail around 4:10 p.m. She is charged with a moving traffic violation for driving with a suspended license for the “second or subsequent” time. Bond is set at $1000.
The arrest report continues to be processed early Monday morning. It was unclear where she was stopped or why she was stopped by police. We will update this report once BocaNewsNow.com obtains the report.

Engers is the latest arrest of a Kings Point resident. Not just the 57th arrest since 2023, but the 37th since 2024 and the 7th this year. BocaNewsNow.com’s unofficial records indicate that more Kings Point residents are arrested than residents of any other senior living community in south Palm Beach County. Among them: residents charged with sexual assault, drug crimes, weapons crimes, domestic assault crimes, DUI, downloading illegal images of children, and more. Read our Kings Point coverage here.
