Ford F-150 Versus Pedestrian. Pedestrian Dies. Details From Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office…

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Lake Worth woman is dead after her neighbor, backing out of her house, drove into and then over the woman. Ana Maria Tapia-Gomez was pronounced dead following the Saturday afternoon incident. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the death to BocaNewsNow.com and provided the following narrative:
Ignacia Barrios-Mancilla was backing out of the residence at 4532 Lucille Drive in Lake Worth around 2:20 p.m. on Saturday. At the same time, Ana Maria Tapia-Gomez was walking in the roadway, passing by the driveway of the residence. Barrios-Mancilla failed to identify the pedestrian while backing and the rear of her Ford F-150 struck Tapia-Gomez, knocking her to the ground. The rear time of the F-150 then ran over Tapia-Gomez. The F-150 was moved off of Tapia-Gomez, to a parking spot. Barrios-Mancilla then observed Tapia-Gomez in the roadway and called 911.
Tapia-Gomez was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained int he collision, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. She was later pronounced deceased from injuries sustained in the collision.
No charges have been filed as of Monday afternoon. The investigation continues.
