DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A woman visiting from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, allegedly demanded that a DJ at an area bar play a song that she and her husband requested. When the DJ refused, witnesses say she became combative and argumentative, used profanity, and refused to leave. That’s when Delray Beach Police were called to Throw Social At 29 SE 2nd Avenue and arrested Sara Elizabeth King. Here’s what police say happened in their report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com:

>>The following incident occurred at 29 SE 2nd Ave (Throw Social) in The City of Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, FL. On 3/13/2025, I was dispatched to 29 SE 2nd Ave (Throw Social) in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, I met with the manager of the bar who stated that two people, later identified as Mark King and Sara King, were causing a disturbance at the bar. He explained that while they were inside the establishment, they began harassing the DJ to play a song that they had requested. When the DJ refused, both Sara and her husband became upset and started using profanity towards her, which caused an issue for other customers at the establishment.

The manager was then called by an employee about the couple. When he made contact with the couple, they began yelling and using profanity towards him. The manager asked both Sara and Mark to leave the establishment several times before police arrived on the scene to which they refused. When I arrived, I observed Sara and Mark at the front door of the establishment in a verbal confrontation with the manager. During the initial contact with Sara, I noticed her speech was slurred, her eyes were glossy, and I smelled the odor of alcohol coming from her person. During my conversation with Sara,

I advised her that she had been asked to leave by management and that if she refused, she would be if she refused to leave she would be arrested. I gave Sara a lawful order to leave the establishment, she stated, “No,” which was captured on body-worn camera (BWC). It should be noted that sara stated she had consumed three acholic drinks at the bar. Due to the above stated facts, I find probable cause exists to charge the defendant, Sara King with violation of FSS 856.011 Disorderly intoxication, and ESS 810.09 Trespass after warning.<<

Sara King, of 800 block of North Honey Creek Parkway in Milwaukee, WI, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. She was later released on $1250 bond. A court date is pending. The police report does not note which song Sara King demanded.
