As of 2 p.m., the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office remains on the scene of 2216 Bloods Grove Circle with a man who witnesses say is threatening to blow himself up.
The police presence, according to witnesses, has grown over the past few hours, with a SWAT team standing by and what are described as “snipers” on area roofs, watching the scene. No one is permitted in the apartment complex, according to people at the scene.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s has not provided details as the scene remains active. We are limiting what we are reporting as to not compromise tactical positioning. The suspect has not been officially identified. It is unclear if this is a mental health situation or a criminal situation that took a bad turn.
