BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — All roads closed near the scene of Friday’s plane crash in Boca Raton have reopened as of early Sunday morning. The Boca Raton Police Department tells BocaNewsNow.com that Military Trail between NW 19th Street and Butts Road is again open to traffic. Tri-Rail has resumed normal operations. The Glades Road overpass over Military Trail, the Glades Road on/off-ramps for I-95 reopened Friday afternoon.

The National Transportation Safety Board continues to investigate the Friday morning crash that left three occupants of the Cessna 310 dead and a motorist — who suddenly found himself driving through the fiery wreckage on Military Trail — injured. The deceased are identified as Robert Stark, 81, of Boca Raton; Stephen Stark, 54, of the Lake Ida area of Delray Beach; and Brooke Stark, 17, of Delray Beach.

As we were first to report shortly after the crash, radar tracking showed that the plane was immediately in trouble after taking off from Boca Raton airport. With a planned destination of Tallahassee, the plane failed to ascend higher than 600 feet, and flew in a series of circles over and near the airport until it crashed near the airport.

Boca Raton Fire Rescue was called to the airport around 10:20 a.m. shortly after the plane took off. The pilot reported some sort of problem. While fire rescue professionals staged, the plane circled then crashed. The occupants were found deceased in the burning wreckage.
