Fourteen Arrests This Year. 44 Since 2024. Senior Living Community Residents Keep Ending Up In Jail.

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Kings Point Delray Beach senior living community just logged its 14th resident arrest this year and its 64th resident arrest since 2023. Avishai Bernstein was taken into custody by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on April 12th. He lists Flanders N as his home address. Unofficial records kept by BocaNewsNow.com indicate that more Kings Point Delray Beach residents are jailed than residents of any other senior living community in South Palm Beach County.
Bernstein, 45, is significantly younger than the traditional resident of a senior living community. It was not immediately clear why he is living in Kings Point. What is clear is that police say he was supposed to appear in court on a charge of driving with a suspended license but didn’t show up. He is now charged with “failure to appear.” Bernstein was booked into jail at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday. He posted $2,000 bond and was released around 10:30 p.m.
Bernstein has a lengthy list of interactions with the Palm Beach County court system, with nearly twenty traffic “infractions” since 2013. We note that the Flanders Condominium Association is in the midst of foreclosure action against the unit in which Bernstein resides.

Avishai Bernstein joins a list of alleged Kings Point criminals that continues to grow. Among the arrestees are residents charged with drug crimes, sex crimes, crimes involving child images, DUI, weapons crimes, assault, battery, and more. A court date is now pending for Bernstein.
